May 4, 2008...Much has happened since March. Dara did not return from Vegas until April 10th when her dad was on the mend.  Bernie was then in the VA hospital with Pneumonia and Mercers. Thanks to Bernie's family in NY, Dara arrived home to a house already opened and ready for occupancy.  Bernie was being cared for and visited regularly, and Max was recovering from stomach surgery and cared for by Uncle Don.   Bernie is home now and on the mend. (Even went fishing for awhile today although he has about 22 pounds more to gain). Max has recovered from his surgery. (We are still watching closely for any return of the malignant melanoma like the tumor he had removed in Florida.) For now, he is the same as always and is bouying and swimming like the puppy he thinks he is.

Jim Carr had friends up this weekend to try their luck on the water too. See May Fishing.

March 21, 2008...Picture of car below was taken this morning in Endicott, NY.  Where Max and I are bunking in with my Uncle Don.  I went to the Pond the day before Easter and to my Brother's for dinner on Easter.  See March 2008

February 29...I am leaving the Panhandle for Sharie's.  Dara is in Vegas with her Mom and Dad, Max has just had an operation to remove a tumor, and I am packed and ready to leave. A slight possibility exists that that Dara will hook up with me before I leave Sharie's, but it is more likely she will fly home after I have returned. As I get ready to leave the Panhandle I wish to thank many new friends and one old from Destin who has made this stay so wonderful. From the many from Wisconsin to the Neighbors from Michigan & Georgia, to Kansas and Indiana. From the wonderful place we rented to the one we will rent next year. To Floridians Sandra, Linda, and of course Ron. Charles, you are an interesting man. I wish we had more time to talk. We hope to see many of you again. Bob and Jo, we will be in touch. 

December,January,February...We are now in Florida for the Winter. We arrived a little later than expected mostly because of a faulty ignition switch on our Ford Focus ZX3. That and the fact that it happened as we were packed to leave our motel on a Sunday morning caused an addition 2 days on the road. Hopefully I will not be too busy to keep track with quite a few pictures which I will place under the title Florida 2007-2008 Index
